Well, the transition from "Guess what?" to "To get to the other side!" is because sometimes when someone asks "Guess what?" and then the person says "What?" they'd be all like "Chickenbutt!" And the question to the next joke was "Why did they chicken cross the road?" Geddit? Chickens. Makes complete sense.
